sharing… A Psalm of Life
Today is a bit different. I’ve been studying more about poetry and that is disrupting what I can write somehow.
But I found this the other week and I really like it. Most poetry I don’t really understand. But I understand this one… Enjoy.
- A Psalm of Life by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
This is one of my favorite stanzas:
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.
And also this one:
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
