the beast in the east?

i saw it in Panama
it had a great big jaw

it was just standing still
and it gave me lots of chills

i still don’t know what it was
that is likely 'cuz

when i saw it there
i ran away like a hare

maybe it was a yeti
standing there on the jetty

maybe the ness monster from loch
standing there on the dock

i know it was something to fear
standing there on the pier

oh wait…
i just realized something
is it possible i have been wrong
was that thing that i saw
with the big giant jaw
was that just a sculpture or statue?
