This was a project I did basically during the pandemic. I started writing a poem a day. Once ‘real life’ started again it got harder to write everyday, which is interesting.
Sunday’s Glow
Sunday almost slipped on by
but lucky me I realized why
I felt something not quite right
my poem almost wasn’t quite
but here I am, late I know
I got it done in Sunday’s glow
The Unexpected
When the unexpected
comes walking through the door
do you turn the light on
and develop a rapport?
Or do you shriek and shudder,
hope it goes away?
Keep my days the same please!
My order it must stay!
This choice can be divisive
with some on either side.
Embrace the change, enjoy the ride!
Shut the curtains and let’s hide!
No matter your persuasion,
to embrace or deny change,
you can indeed expect it
for life is often rearranged.
