Matilda and Meadow found a small nest

Matilda and Meadow found a small nest
it held 3 blue eggs, it was the best
they looked every day but they did not disturb
their tending of that nest was right and superb
one day the eggs hatched and they watched from afar
as the mom robin fed her small chicks like a star
then one day they went out to look once again
the empty nest now held memories of what once had been
